poem: burning

All of your flowers are burning
Drunk on the smoke, inhale
The past you hate to recall
Lives inside your veins
Running away becomes an addiction
The clarity of fear will show
Your love your love your love
Push past the velvet rope
You used to end things
The craze of mind sometimes stops
The burning of cold vibration
Where time lingers in the corners
Of the illusion you cowered inside
Away from the wolves who wanted
You dragged yourself, screaming
Into a fate made new
By hostile forces
All conspiring to help you
